A few months ago Nathan published a fantastic list of the top 40 free WordPress themes released in 2011. Today I would like to show you another 100 great designs that have been released this year.
This list initially topped 200 designs however this number was greatly reduced as many designs were very similar. For example, Padd Solutions and NewWPThemes release good designs on a regular basis however they are usually very similar. Designs from websites such as Magpress were removed from the list as each theme includes several sponsorship links and do not allow you to remove them.

I don’t advise using a design prior to 2010 as WordPress have introduced a lot of new features over the last 18 months and older designs would therefore have to be heavily modified to accomodate these new features.
