Coraline WordPress Theme

Coraline is Automattic’s replacement for their popular Cutline design. You can have one or two sidebars and has a widget area in the footer too.

As you would expect from a theme from Automattic, Coraline has support for all WordPress 3.0 features including custom thumbnails, header image and custom menus.

The default design of Coraline will suit those of you who are looking for something simple however it’s also a solid base for creating your own design.

Hi Kevin,

I read that you you enjoy trying out WordPress themes and hope you won't mind helping me out.

I'm using the 5th layout option of the Coraline Theme (Sidebar-Content-Sidebar) for a self-hosted site and have been trying for weeks to increase the width of the right sidebar. I have found a lot of confusing/conflicting percentages and measurements which never seem to add up to 100% or a maximum width of 990px e.g: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/coraline-change-column-width-and-overall-theme-width http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2010/08/10/coraline-layouts-and-mullenweg-pearson-dispute

I don't do CSS and would be most thankful if you would explain which numbers I need to alter.

Hi

The theme is pretty cool. But why does it take so long to implement (update) changes I make in Appereance-Editor-CSS?

Hi Lydia,

If you post the stylesheet in the forums and advise what colours you want to change I'll show you what classes you need to modify :)

Hi Kevin,
I'm using Coraline on 2 blogs and so far, so good. Any tips on how to change font color on links, sidebars? Tutorials?

Hello there, I am using Coraline for a self-hosted blog. I am struggling to integrate feedburner though ( I want to add the email subscription box). Any pointer? Thanks

You will find the code under the publicize tab in feedburner (in the email subscription section). You just need to add this code to your sidebar via a widget or directly in the sidebar.php template.
