Five New Free WordPress Themes

5 new free WordPress themes were released in the official WordPress theme directory this week that I would like to share with you today :)

My personal favourite is San Fran, a minimilist blogging theme that lets you easily add your own custom CSS code via the options page.

1. Shell Lite

A clean corporate design that comes with its own customisable landing page.

2. Sonar

The design looks a little dated in my opinion though it is a very capable theme with built in pagination for posts, pages and comments. It also has it’s own unique options page in which you can easily change colours, the header and the background. A sitemap and full width template that removes the sidebar is also included.

3. San Fran

A minimalistic blogging design that uses Google Fonts typography. The theme includes thumbnail support, a sticky post option and the ability to add custom CSS directly in the theme options page. A light and dark version of the theme are included in the download and you can switch between the two in the admin area.

4. Essence

A minimal self-proclaimed ‘Advanced WordPress Theme’ that could be used as a base for designing other themes.
