I came across a website today entitled Battle Of The Plugins. It's essentially a plugin review site however it groups similar plugins into groups (or battles) so that you can compare them. Visitors can suggest plugins and battles for the site. Not sure if it will take off but it's an interesting way of reviewing plugins.
I saw that yesterday. Definitely interesting, though one thing I was immediately disappointed with is that the only plugins on there (at least the only ones that have real votes) are the same plugins that everyone and their mother lists in the "the most important / used plugins of 201x. Sure anyone can upload others, but there is no way they will beat those out.
I think it's an interesting/novelty idea though I found the site a bit of a pain to navigate. I would prefer to search for plugins through a regular blog or directory.
Would like to see battle of plugins in with releated posts and seo plugins. There are so many of these plugins.
Hello! I first started the website as a way to look beyond the standard plugins (with gazillions of downloads), and my main goal is 1) to allow a better navigation through the many available plugins and 2) to make plugin rating fun and useful. I'm of course always curious about everybody's take on the website and how you think I can improve the experience (and navigability ;-)).
Thanks for dropping by Sanda. I think my main issue with the navigation is the top navigation menu not moving. I work via a 11.6" laptop so it leaves about 75% of the page left for viewing content. It's quite restrictive (I can show you a screenshot if that helps).
