I love forums. I love WordPress. And this forum is well setup and is looking promising. I also keep forgetting to come back here regularly (my bad). This is not going to stop me complaining about the traffic here just yet though Forums are a pain to get rolling and need to get some sort of momentum to get them over their initial hump. It looks like Kevin is doing a great job of responding to people and getting things moving, but I'm thinking we should chip in and drive a little traffic this direction ourselves. Forums prosper based on their community involvement more than the involvement of their site owner. Here are a few routes I've used to help out forums I've been a member on in the past: Writing up a blog post about the forum Not asking questions directly in places like Twitter, but instead linking to questions posted in the forum Tweeting/G+'ing interesting forum topics Finding controversial topics and posting them initially in the forum Any other ideas on how we can help out the forum?
I'm a bit of a forum junkie myself. Social networking services such as Facebook and Twitter serve a purpose but they don't allow you to communicate with others in depth. I would obviously be very appreciative of anyone who tried to help promote the forum and help it get going. Personally, I am going to continue to try and host good competitions here to help encourage new people to register. I come across a lot of great resources for WordPress on a regular basis - plugins, themes, great articles etc. I don't always have the time to write about everything I find though I will be using the forum as a place to share anything WordPress related that I think members will find useful. I think the forum will be a good place to get feedback on projects too e.g. if you are unsure about what design to choose for your new site or need a second opinion of how your sidebar looks etc.
