I'm looking forward to getting to know WPMods members through the forums. As most of you know, I'm the owner of WPMods. I've been working online for close to 12 years now and Bering using WordPress actively since 2006.

I'm originally from Scotland though I have travelled a lot over the last several years and have spent a lot of time in a lot of different countries. I'm currently living in Bogota, Colombia, though after Christmas I will be filfilling a lifetime dream and travelling around South America by bus.

I encourage you all to take some time to introduce yourself to fellow members. Tell us a little about yourself, what your main website is etc :)

HI, I am Computer Engineer from Nepal. I have been working as the PHP developer in software company named Janaki Technology Pvt. Ltd. after the completion of the bachelor degree in 2009. In the spare time, I learn WordPress since wordpress is my hobby.....

Nice to meet you Laxman. My friend was in Nepal earlier this year as he was climbing Everest (base camp). He said it was beautiful there. I'd love to visit one day.

Hello, I'm an IT/Web Development student at University of South Florida in Sarasota, FL (second career). I'm currently developing a personal website and a ministry website for myself, as well as a business website for my wife. Since I am doing it in what little spare time I have, I project the first site will be live shortly after the new year. I currently write (very infrequently) on a personal wp.com blog. I've been following WPMods for about a year now and always find good information here. Thanks for the invite.

    Hi Tom,

Great to have you here :)

The personal website is always the first to move down the list of priorities. I used to update my personal blog frequently but I wasn't updating it enough so I changed it to a static information site.

How are the ministry and business websites coming along?

    Hi all, Robbie from OneArmedGraphics.
I’ve been a WP fan since 2010 and run a graphic design & chronic pain blog at www.onearmedgraphics.com , and offer WP front-end web design from my subdomain, http://webdesign.onearmedgraphics.com
I use the iThemes ‘Builder’ framework mostly as it’s a good fit for my skill levels.
    Cheers,
    Robbie

    Hi Robbie,

    Welcome to WP Mods :)

I've never used the ithemes builder. What's it like compared to other frameworks?

Also, remember to add your websites to your signature :)

    Roger-that :)

Liking the Forum design btw, very clean/crisp feel.

Builder was the first framework I've tried. It seems to be a good fit for my needs. I like it as I can layout widgets, content, images or navigation anywhere I want. I've only done 10 sites so far but each completely different.
Child themes are quite varied too.

    Hi everyone,
I used to post over at the SitePoint and WP Tavern forums, but rarely visit either of them now as they've gone downhill somewhat in recent times. I run http://WPPaintbrush.com and http://PixoPoint.com. I've made a bunch of plugins and themes and spend most days beavering away with my head buried in code. I have a bunch of non-WordPress related stuff on my personal blog http://ryanhellyer.net/. I also post quite a lot about WordPress related things on Google+ http://gplus.to/ryanhellyer

Hopefully this forum will blossom into a useful community portal as I really enjoy having a good forum to discuss things on :)

Yeah I like the clean design of the forum. :)

I'll need to check the ibuilder child themes out.

    Hi Ryan,

Welcome to WP Mods. It's great to have you here - I was very impressed with WPPaintBrush,

I used to post frequently on SitePoint too (2001-2003) too. I agree it went downhill years ago.

Where in NZ are you from?

    Kevin

    :)

    Hi,

I am Rison Simon from India. I am currently an engineering student. I also have a blog and other one in creation. And the biggest trouble I'm having with blogging is overcoming writer's block. :)

So I hope WP mods forum will help me with my journey as a blogger, and I love Wordpress.

And I have to say, this forum design is amazing. I haven't seen such smooth and ajaxy forum in my life. :D

    Hi there,
I'm George, 22 years old and I'm from Romania. I'm a freelance web and graphics designer (or at least that's what I think ). I currently run 2 blogs, DirTek Designs and DirTek.me (my personal blog) with another personal project coming up next year.

I mostly love experiencing with HTML5 and CSS3 but at the moment I'm also learning jQuery and how to code Wordpress themes (the one from DirTek Designs is coded by me, based on the Thematic framework). And I also use Photoshop for stuff like web-design, icon design, digital painting (mouse only, for now) and photo-manipulations.

I love reading design blogs and I recently discovered WP Mods. I gotta say I really liked it the first time I saw it, but now I think it's a great reading source and I check it out regularly.

    Cheers!

Things are coming along slowly, but trying to do it the right way. Hopefully have something up and running around the first of the year. I have a placeholder page up right now at http://pastorhelper.net and http://carolscandl.es

    thanks!

Glad you like the forum. If there's anything we can do to help with your helping, just post a thread and ask and I'm sure myself or another member will do their best to help you.

If you start a new thread about writing block, I'll tell you what I do to ensure it never happens. :)

    Hi George,

    Welcome to the forums.

I've always wanted to visit Romania. Two of my friends went to Bucharest one year for 5 days and said it was amazing - a really beautiful city. The closest I've got to Romania is a two week holiday in Bulgaria.

    Glad you like WP Mods.

Are you planning on developing any WordPress themes or plugins?

It sounds like you're quite busy with University and all your projects etc.

Great to hear you liked it :) I'm looking for people to best test a new child theme for it if you feel like being adventurous with something totally untested and potentially buggy still :)

Sunny Dunedin. I do my WordPress dev. work here ... http://ryanhellyer.net/2010/02/07/otago-university-from-cfi/
  17. Kevin Muldoon WordPress Fanatic!

I don't have time to spend a lot of time testing it but I can give it a try and let you know my opinion of it if that suits :)

Dunedin is a nice little town. Me and my friends stayed a couple of days in a nice hostel that was in an big old house. We went to the Cadburys factory there, took a trip to the Scottish shop (no surprise there!) and our bus on the way out stopped at that hill that's apparently the steepest in...well I can't remember if it was the whole of New Zealand but it was steep!

Hello all, my name is Zhen, currently lives in NYC as a graduate student. I just started my WordPress related blog ThemeFortress which focus on theme design. I am not an expert though I published my first WordPress framework Reverie last week. It's a clean HTML5 framework based on ZURB's Foundation. I hope you guys will see the review coming on WPMods.

Have to say that I really like the forum (XenForo) though I myself uses bbPress for my other blogs. I think Kevin did a great job to compose the post about reviewing mainstream forum softwares available to connect with WordPress. I did learn a lot from that post though I am stuck with bbPress to integrate with BuddyPress in the future.
