Menu Problem

    Hi. I am having a problem adding menu items. I have at present 86 menu items. Now, when I create new items all is fine until I try to save.
    The system will not save newly created menu items.
    I thought adding items would be never ending?
    Is there a limit?
    Hoping someone can help.

    I don't believe there is any limit to how many items you can add to a menu. The only thing I can think of is your server is slow at loading all of the information.

    I use the menu management enhancer plugin (by SevenSpark). It's great for administrating large menus. You can see my review of the plugin last year at http://www.wpmods.com/menu-management-enhancer-wordpress-plugin/.

    Hi Chris. Thank you for your reply. I have changed the values on the php.ini file and also updated to the latest WP edition. Still no luck. This is a major problem. This site will be useless if I can no longer add menu items. I'm sure there must be a lot in the same position as I am. Can't believe there is no fix for this?

    Mark - It could be worth backing up your menus using the WordPress Menu Exporter. Then try and import the menus into a new WordPress installation. If the menus are working fine on your new site then perhaps there is an issue with your live site or perhaps a clash with a plugin. I'm not entirely sure but it could point you in the right direction of what's wrong.

    Many thanks Kevin. Have fixed the problem. I initially changed the suhosin values to 0. I changed them to 2000 and now I have menus again. Who knows?
