Have any Gmail users here switched to the new design. It seems ok but I'm still getting used to it. It's definitely a lot cleaner than before and seems to load fairly quickly too.
Even I switched to it, as you said looks a lot cleaner and bold. I really love it, still getting used to it though.
It is definitely more cleaner and effectively use white space. It also better aligns to Google's new streamlined and focused motto. And Google now has a more common love everywhere including the long neglected Google reader! Overall, it is a great move. I am using the cozy setting. Which one are you using?
If you click on the settings button, you will find three different settings - comfortable, cozy and compact they are not themes but just decides display density
Like Praveen said, there are 3 settings which you can choose from the settings button. You can choose how much emails you want to see on Gmail.
