Persevero – Genesis Framework Child Theme

Written by on July 6, 2010 in WordPress Themes - 5 Comments

StudioPress’s Genesis Framework is an impressive WordPress framework which retails for $59.95. Up until now the majority of child themes for the framework have been designed by StudioPress themselves however WPBeginner have just released a beautiful free child theme for free entitled Persevero.

Persevero is a big and beautiful blogging theme which comes with a drop down nav menu and a 2 column sidebar; perfect for a regular blog or an online magazine.

Although Persevero is free, the Genesis Framework costs $59.95, so you should bear this in mind before downloading.

Hopefully we will see some Genesis Framework child themes released for free in the future as I have been impressed with the templates which have been released so far.

i am also using genesis theme on my blog www.fever18.com
but i am unable to integrate facebook like button just below my post title..
will you please tell me how i can integrate this button for genesis?

You can get the facebook box code via your facebook page.

Then all you need to do is add that code to your sidebar via a widget.

Thank you for sharing this theme. I installed Genesis Framework first, then I installed Persevero theme and I got an error message like "The parent theme is missing. Please install the "genesis" parent theme."

How can I active child theme of Genesis ?

Thanks !

You shouldn't have that error if Genesis is installed on your site.

I downloaded Persevero to check the stylesheet and it is correctly linking to genesis at the top i.e. Template: genesis.

Unfortunately I don't have the Genesis framework myself so I recommend speaking to WPBeginner about this.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help :)

Kevin

I see. Again, thank you very much.
