Graph Paper Press’s long awaited Photo Workshop theme was finally released last week.

The theme was made specifically for showcasing photographs and videos. It can also be used to pitch photo workshops and events.

The default home page displays a large photograph under the drop down nav menu with an archive area, upcoming events and about section underneath.

Photo Workshop comes with it’s own options page which allows you to easily upload your own logo, custom tracking code, and switch theme features on and off. Theme colours can also be changed in this area and slideshow settings can be adjusted too.

Video bloggers will be pleased to know that the theme comes with it’s own built in HD flash player and boasts iPhone and iPad video support too. The theme also takes advantage of the new feature in WordPress 3 called Custom Post Types so you can easily create additional fields for the content you are publishing.

Overview

The market for premium photography WordPress themes has become quite competitive in the last year or so however Photo Workshop certainly deserves to be considered as one of the best. It’s also encouraging to see a theme developer take advantage of custom post types.

To use Photo Workshop you need to have a Graph Paper Press membership. A membership costs $49 for a quarterly license and $99 for a yearly one.
