Pimp My WordPress posted about a great WordPress plugin called Search and Replace a few days ago. The plugin allows you to easily search for strings in your WordPress database and replace them with the text of your choice.
According to the plugin author Frank Bültge you can “search in ID, post-content, GUID, titel, excerpt, meta-data, comments, comment-author, comment-e-mail, comment-url, tags/categories and categories-description”.
This plugin could be used for a variety of reasons. For example, if you changed your website domain then you could easily change all references of the previous domain to the new one. It could also be used to update email addresses and author names.
If you need to correct a lot of information in your database then I would recommend checking Search and Replace out.

Wow what a plug. I looked everywhere and no other plug in did as well as this one. It was so fast that i thought it didnt work as all the others, and when i checked and the info I wanted replaced was done. I was very impressed.
