Skeleton is a free WordPress theme that was released by SimpleThemes last week. The minimal design would be used for a corporate website or a traditional blog.
Skeleton is well documented, optimised for mobile use and even comes packaged with it’s own bbPress template.
The theme is very user friendly too, owning much of this to it’s use of the options framework plugin. It comes integrated with several shortcodes to help you structure your page with one, two, three or even four columns. There are also shortcodes for raw HTML, tabs, buttons, related posts and more. The footer and sidebar areas are also widgetised and you can create menus using the WordPress menu system.
It doesn’t have a lot of bells and whistles but Skeleton is a great option for anyone who is looking for a simplistic WordPress design that is easy to use.
