Track Your Blogs Social Performance With Social Metrics

Social Metrics is a fantastic new WordPress plugin from Rizaz.net that I’m sure all of you statistic fiends will love.

The plugin adds a page to your admin area that shows you how many times your articles have been shared in social media services. It tracks shares from the following services: Twitter, Facebook, Google +1, Google Buzz, StumbleUpon, Digg and LinkedIn. The stats are shown in an easy to read table and the results can be filtered to only show posts or pages. You can also choose to view articles from a specific category or month.

The plugin also adds a link to the metrics page to the admin bar so it’s easy to view your social media stats where ever you are on your site.

Social Metrics Dashboard

A fantastic plugin which I encourage you all to try out. It’s the easiest way of quickly seeing which articles are being shared on the web. The option to filter by category is particularly useful as it lets you quickly see what type of posts on your site are being shared the most.

It looks interesting enough, but I just don't want another fancy WP plugin installed on my blog. I can understand someone maybe using this for a period of time, but it's not for me.
