Create a Social Voting Website with the Nominate WordPress Theme

Written by on September 29, 2010 in WordPress Themes - 2 Comments

Nominate turns WordPress into a fully functioning social voting website.

Once users have registered with your site they can submit articles and vote on other submissions. Thumbnails are automatically generated for submissions and there are a series of spam control filters built in too.

The theme comes with 3 colour schemes, four widgetized areas, breadcrumb navigation, custom registration and login form, social media integration and much much more.

Nominate WordPress Theme

Nominate retails at $79.99 for a retail version and $169.99 for a developers license. It’s currently being used very successfully on the WordPress sharing website WP Vote.

Whilst it is fairly basic compared to social sharing scripts like Pligg, it’s perfect for those who are looking for a article sharing solution.

Good luck,

Kevin

The whole voting system/article submission on top of wordpress is good, but is the $170 for the developer license justifiable, I don't think so. Unless they want it to be some ultra premium stuff.

Yeah $170 seems a bit steep. I think $119 would be fairer.

Though you need to remember that this price is set for design companies who build websites for clients, who are more likely to pay for it, particularly if they use it several times.
