Twitter Button WordPress Plugin

Alex Cristache from Blogsessive yesterday released a new plugin for WordPress called Twitter Button. Most websites, including this one, use the TweetMeme Retweet Button Plugin, however Twitter Button uses the official Twitter tweet button.

In the settings area you can determine whether the button is displayed on the home page, pages and RSS feeds.

Twitter Button Integration

The button is designed really well and will blend into most website designs. The margin and padding of the button can be changed in the settings area and it can be placed at the bottom or top of an article or at the left or right hand side.

It’s great to see a good alternative to TweetMeme. It integrates with your content automatically and is easy to modify to suit your needs – what more do you need :)

I've spent ages looking for a decent Twitter feed. This is perfect - cheers Mr M!

Hi Kevin,

Don't know how I missed this post, but thank you very much for announcing the plugin here. Much appreciated.

No need to thank me Alex. If you release any WordPress themes, plugins or products in the future; make sure you drop me an email about it and I will let WP Mods readers know about it :)

I'll take you up on that offer in a few hours actually. Releasing a new free WP theme today.

sounds good. Speak to you soon :)

Although the plugin makes life easier for most users out there. I still like to create my own function where by I'm in charge and also to minimize the no of plugins I have installed.

Yeah sometimes it's better to just use code instead of a plugin, particularly with basic plugins. There are always pros and cons to using code instead of plugins :)

No problem Dev. Nice blog you have there. I've added it to my newsreader so I'll be able to catch up with your latest posts :)
