WordPress 3.2 Released

Written by on July 4, 2011 in WordPress News - 1 Comment

Matt Mullenweg announced an hour ago the release of WordPress 3.2. The release has come a long way since its beta release two months ago, with all major bugs being ironed out.

Dedicated to the composer George Gershwin, WordPress 3.2 is a major release that I encourage you all to download. They have managed to make WordPress faster and lighter. The admin dashboard appears to load a bit quicker and the distraction free writing feature is now part of the post editor (just click the ‘fullscreen’ button). More links have also been added to the admin bar.

3.2 includes the final stable of release of Twenty Eleven, the new default theme for WordPress that was coded in HTML 5.

I encourage you all to download this new version of WordPress when you have time. Please note that they have increased their minimum requirements for using WordPress. Your hosting account will need to have at least PHP 5.2.4 and MySQL 5.0 and outdated browsers such as Internet Explorer 6 are not longer supported either.

What’s your first impressions of WordPress 3.2?

Thanks,
Kevin
