Over two months after the release of the first beta version, Matt Mullenweg has announced the release of the first stable version of WordPress 3.0.
Nicknamed “Thelonious”, after the famous American jazz pianist Thelonious Monk, WordPress 3.0 adds a lot of great new features such as:
- Custom Headers
- Custom Backgrounds
- Menus
- Custom Post Types
Make sure you check out the new Twenty Ten Theme too.
What are you waiting for? Download WordPress 3.0 from the official site or update automatically through your dashboard. Remember to back up your database before upgrading and take the time to check that all your plugins work with the new version too.
